In Zuba, things are heating up with lies, scams, and betrayal! Between Chanda’s shady deals and Natasha’s sneaky tricks, there’s no shortage of drama. But beyond the entertainment, there are valuable lessons we can all learn about spotting a scammer before they strike.

Here are five signs to watch out for:

1. They rush you into decisions

When Chanda approached Janet with a business deal, Njenje felt something was off. But Janet, eager for a quick opportunity, jumped in without thinking twice. Scammers often pressure you into making fast decisions before you have time to think. If someone is rushing you to sign on the dotted line, pause and investigate!

2. Their story doesn’t add up

Chanda and her girls showed up dressed like they were going to a party, not a cleaning job! That was a clue that something wasn’t right. Scammers often have a story that just doesn’t match their actions. Trust your instincts — if it looks off, it probably is.

3. They get defensive when you question them

When Njenje raised concerns about Chanda’s demands, Janet ignored the warning signs and Chanda’s aggression and manipulation didn’t make it any better. Scammers often get aggressive or dismissive when you ask questions because they don’t want you to dig deeper. Don’t be afraid to push for answers. Real deals stand up to careful examination.

4. They disappear when things go wrong

Chanda vanished into thin air when the gold robbery was a success for her, leaving Njenje and Janet to face Mr. Luther’s wrath. Scammers are quick to disappear once they get what they want. If someone avoids accountability or stops answering your calls when trouble hits, you’ve likely been scammed and it might be too late!

5. They’re too comfortable with dishonesty

Look at Natasha –– trusted with petty cash but using it for popping bottles and fancy shoes! She even went as far as faking receipts to cover her tracks. Scammers are usually skilled liars who bend the truth without blinking. If someone seems too comfortable lying, don’t trust them with your business.

Zuba reminds us that scammers are everywhere; from business deals to trusted colleagues. Stay sharp, trust your instincts, and always do your homework before signing anything!
